After reading and reviewing “Is it ok to make art” and watching “How does music transform us” I have never been more convinced that art has more power then I ever understood. I don’t think the question should be “Is it ok to make are” I believe it should be “Why wouldn’t we make art?”. Benjamin Zandar offers a lot of the benefits as well. I think for us to get a better understanding of arts power we should picture a world without art. What would the world be like with no music no movies and no paintings. The world would just be bland and significantly more boring. When I brainstormed using the “draw the connections” stretegy I realized both authors were really trying to get across a similar message. Now going into this essay I have a clear argument to make on the side of art and how powerful it can be for the people.
When you write, “Benjamin Zandar offers a lot of the benefits as well–” do you mean as well as compared to Southan? I’m not sure he offers a lot of benefits when it comes to art.
